Overview

Fanderlust was born from a clear business vision of the client, who completely lacked the executive arm and technical direction. I was presented with the idea and entrusted with total responsibility for its realization.

I didn't just write the code: I acted as a technological partner, transforming abstract requirements into a real architecture, choosing the most appropriate stack, and autonomously managing the entire software lifecycle, up to production deployment.

Challenge

The main challenge in "greenfield" projects is not technical, but decision-making. Over-engineering must be avoided while keeping the doors open for future scalability.

The fundamental needs were:

  • Selecting a modern, high-performing, and easily maintainable technology stack.
  • Designing and structuring a database capable of supporting the required business logic.
  • Setting up a solid server infrastructure and a pipeline to continuously update the site (CI/CD) without downtime.

Solution

I adopted an "End-to-End" approach, taking ownership of every layer of the application:

1. Architecture & Technology Stack: I evaluated the requirements and selected the best combination of technologies for the frontend and backend, ensuring a smooth user experience and fast, secure APIs.

2. Full-Stack Development: I designed the database schema from scratch, developed the authentication logic, data integration, and created the entire user interface, ensuring it perfectly reflected the client's original vision.

3. Hosting & Deploy: I configured the servers, domains, and set up the release pipelines. The client didn't have to worry about what a server was or how their site got online: they simply received the keys to a functioning and high-performing product.

Curious how this was built?

I write about the backend×AI wedge — wins and failures included. Follow along, or say hi.
